Judy, Thanks for your quick response. The information I have based my inquiries on is located on several sites such as briland.com, gobeach.com, eleuthera.com and others.
My question about the beach bar was one which was precipitated by a photo (and some news from locals) of the property and the seawall at the Coral Sands. To the viewer, the photo looks like there is (was)a lot more damage done than just to the seawall.
Also, hearing that the heavy equipment is now working on the south end of the beach, I was just wondering what we might expect by mid-November...heavy equipment on the beach at or near the Coral Sands? Completed reconstruction?
I know that the Coral Sands has its own web page and that there is an update posted there but, from my last viewing, the last posting was in September. Am I possibly looking in the wrong place?
There is also a hotel/marina update posted by the Ministry of Tourism but it is dated even earlier and is woefully lacking in information.
We are really looking forward to our trip to Harbour Island, and no matter what, we know that we are going to have a spectacular time at the Coral Sands!!!
Since Floyd, I have spoken to so many wonderfully nice people who are more than happy to share information, stories of past trips to Harbour Island, and suggestions of things to do and see while we are there.
I hope I haven't offended with all my questions, I just wanted to have an idea of what the current status is and what to expect. Thanks again - Lisa
